Nachos Burgers

Spicy tomato salsa and corn chips give these burgers a Mexican flavour.

Ingredients / serves 6

  • 500 g beef mince
  • 1 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • ½ cup chunky tomato salsa
  • ¾ cup shredded tasty cheddar
  • 1 cup coarsely crushed corn chips

Method

1.
Preheat fan forced* oven to 180°C.
2.
Line baking tray with baking paper.
3.
Combine beef, breadcrumbs and taco seasoning. Divide into 6 portions and form into burgers. Place on baking tray.
4.
Top each burger with salsa, cheese and coarsely broken corn chips.
5.
Bake burgers for 10- 15 minutes until cooked through.
Recipe note: *if using a conventional oven, you may need to increase temperature or allow additional cooking time.

Essential Tips

  • Serve with avocado and tomato salad.
